The maxx GW 4101 with the sensor interface extension is a robust Industrial IoT Gateway. It communicates via the highly available LTE cellular radio standard and thus ensures you the highest connection security. Thanks to the “Always-Online” functionality, the Gateway establishes a connection independently and, in the event of an error, automatically re-establishes the connection. Thus, you have unrestricted access to the maintenance-free device at any time and from any location.
The LTE 4G Industrial Gateway has a slim, expandable Linux operating system and a up-to-date processor system.
The system is generously equipped with flash and RAM memory and also allows the use of SD cards for very large or frequently changed data.
Thanks to OpenVPN, your device management takes place via encrypted dial-in via cellular communications. This means that our devices may only be accessed by the users themselves. Security updates and bugfixes for the Linux operating system as well as your customised applications and configurations are carried out via our centralised “Over-the-air” firmware update service. This ensures a reliable remote update procedure.
The programmable Sensor Gateway processes applications in different programming languages. You can either use predefined functions or, if you wish, individually customised functions. In addition, the device also incorporates your own applications. For this purpose, the Industrial IoT Gateway provides various physical interfaces for connecting end devices with communication interfaces and/or sensors, e.g. Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-485, CAN bus, 1-Wire connection options. With the sensor interface extension, there are other interfaces, e.g. galvanically isolated RS485, 4-20 mA, digital inputs and outputs as well as RTD, suitable, for example, for PT-1000 temperature sensors.
The maxx GW 4101 Cellular Gateway provides your data with extra security and protection against manipulation using VPN technology, the integrated firewall and the optional security chip, which ensures extremely well-encrypted data communication.
